Brian Fearing

Mining, Energy and Construction Materials Lab Manager

Mr. Fearing has over eighteen years of civil engineering technician experience.  During his time as a civil engineering technician, Mr. Fearing has worked on several mine tailings basins, work including construction inspection compaction testing, piezometer monitoring, tailings basin management, and water management.  Mr. Fearing has also been the lead Civil Engineering Technician on many local municipality, county and State of Minnesota projects.  Brian has also provided CAD Drafting of engineering designs and preparation of final engineering plans, and oversight of the construction activities to assure their compliance with the project plans and specifications, prepare daily observation reports, and assist in preparing the proper project documentation, and prepare pay applications to the client.

Mr. Fearing is certified by the Minnesota Department of Transportation in Grading and Base, Aggregate Production, Bituminous Street, Concrete Field, Construction Site Management, and by the American Concrete Institute.  Brian is also a certified AutoDesk Civil 3D Technician.

Mr. Fearing is currently working as the Mining, Energy, and Construction Materials Lab Manager with NTS. His responsibilities include writing project proposals, meeting and working with clients, scheduling field technicians to on-site work, supervising lab technicians, reviewing results, and reporting those results back to the client. He also coordinates any technical issues of the client to the appropriate staff professional engineer on the NTS team.
